YSO(Ce) Scintillator Crystal
YSO(Ce) - Yttrium Orthosilicate:Cerium (Y₂SiO₅:Ce) - scintillation crystals are relatively bright, have an emission maximum at 420nm and are relatively fast with a decay time of c.60ns.
YSO(Ce) scintillator crystal strengths:
- Reasonably good stopping power with a density of 4.5g/cm³
- Fast decay time of 50 - 70ns
- Good rad-hard properties
- No background radiation
- Mechanically robust characteristics, no cleavage planes and are non-hygroscopic.
